BELAKU AAHARA 2
Empowering Students at Vinyasa Trust for the Differently Challenged
BELAKU AAHARA 2: Supporting students at Vinyasa Trust
In a busy corner of Kumaraswamy layout in Bengaluru, a remarkable initiative is reshaping what inclusion truly means. Founded in 2018 by Mr. Abdul Javeed and Mr. Madhusudhan K, both of whom live with physical challenges themselves, Vinyasa Trust for the Differently Challenged was born from a deep understanding of the barriers that differently abled individuals face in accessing education, dignity, and opportunity.
Vinyasa Trust provides free education, accommodation, food, and healthcare to students who are visually impaired, physically challenged, or come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Beyond classroom learning, the Trust nurtures confidence, independence, and creativity through skill-building workshops, cultural programs, and digital inclusion tools like audio libraries for the visually impaired.
Over the years, Vinyasa has empowered many of its students to go beyond limitations—some now pursuing higher education, professional degrees, and even research at the Ph.D. level. Their efforts have been recognized with accolades such as the Suvarna Sadhana Shree Award 2021, celebrating their consistent social impact and dedication to inclusive growth.
Our Visit to Vinyasa Trust
Our visit to Vinyasa Trust for the Differently Challenged in Kumaraswamy Layout was nothing short of inspiring. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Abdul Javeed and his dedicated team, who patiently walked us through how the trust operates—how students join Vinyasa, how finances are managed with transparency, and how every aspect of their ecosystem is designed to empower and uplift.
It was truly fascinating to witness how well-organized the foundation is. The trust supports visually impaired students who are not only pursuing their education but also living with remarkable independence. Each student studies in different colleges across Bengaluru and travels to and from college completely on their own. Watching them confidently navigate their day reminded us of how determination can outshine any limitation.
Their learning methods are both innovative and inspiring. Academic materials are converted into MP3 audio formats, while laptops are equipped with assistive software such as JAWS, which reads text aloud. During exams, volunteer scribes help students put their thoughts into words. The focus, energy, and discipline of these students were humbling — they live each day with a sense of purpose that motivates everyone around them.
A Proud Moment: Kavya V at T20 World Cup 2025
Among these inspiring students is Kavya V, who recently made history by being selected to represent India at the T20 World Cup 2025 for the Blind Women's Cricket Team. Her achievement stands as a shining symbol of courage, perseverance, and the limitless potential nurtured at Vinyasa Trust. Seeing her hold the national flag high is a proud moment not only for the Trust but for everyone who believes in the power of inclusive education.

A Personal Reflection
On a personal note, this visit was a true eye-opener. We learned so much about how such NGOs function, how students manage their daily routines, and how they prepare for competitive exams with incredible dedication. Many moments left us in awe — especially seeing how confidently they moved through the premises, as if guided by something deeper than sight.
BELAKU AAHARA 2: Making a Difference
As part of our BELAKU initiative, we selected Vinyasa Trust for the second edition of our grocery support program — BELAKU AAHARA 2. With generous contributions from 21 donors, we were able to deliver groceries worth ₹16,170, covering approximately 270 meals — enough to sustain the students for around three months.
We've also included the detailed grocery bill below as part of our continued commitment to transparency and accountability.
Impact Summary
This collaboration reminded us that kindness multiplies when shared. Through BELAKU AAHARA 2, we didn't just deliver groceries — we shared stories, laughter, and a renewed sense of purpose with students who show us that true vision comes from within.
